How I got into brewing?

After an extended illness and while recooperating from surgery I was sitting at home bored every day and I was trying to find a hobby that might be interesting when I ran across a website that talked about brewing your own beer and now the rest is history.  After researching the techniques for getting started brewing and with the help of my DAD I was able to brew my first beer on 1/31/2006. Little did I know that I would place with it in one of Ohio's biggest homebrewing competitions 6 months later. 4th place at The Ohio State Fair Homebrewing Competition for an American Brown  www.ohioexpocenter.com/winner_release_files/homebrew.doc    and then a week later I topped it with a second place finish for my American IPA at The Mountain Brewer Open in Huntington W.Va. http://hbd.org/ghha/
